Chinese Numerology:

It is based on the nine first numbers (from 1 to 9).
All of them, except the 5, are associated with one of the eight Trigrams of the Yi-King.

Then we have the basic magical square (Luo Shu) with
5 in the center and oriented as follows, with always the South above and the East on the left:

SE   South   SW
  4 9 2
East 3 5 7 West
  8 1 6
NE   North   NW

 Remarks:

The square is said "Magical" because the sum of any line, row and diagonal is equal to 15.
Note the order: Center– NW– West – NE – South- North – SW – East et SE.
After the 9, we get the 1 again.

The SE-NW diagonal always contains successive numbers, 4-5-6 in the present case.
This the Direct Direction.

There is also a Reversed Direction where the numbers decrease, along the same path.
One can thus construct magical squares with 1,2, 3, 4, 6, 7 , 8 and 9 in the Center.

Train yourself and check with the LuQi software: there is a button that computes them, in the two Directions.

To each Period, Year, Month, Day and Hour is associated a central number and therefore a specific magical square. The Direction may vary according to the season.

The year 2000, for example, is placed under the sign of 9 and therefore of the following square:

SE   South   SW
  8 4 6
East 7 9 2 West
  3 5 1
NE   North   NW

This square is full of information: we can see for instance that the star # 5, which is a wicked star, will be in the North this year (that is from the 4th of February 2000 to the 3rd of February 2001, period that corresponds to the Chinese solar year).

If in the North Palace of the Feng Shui Chart of your House, there is already a 5, or a bad star 2 or a not so good 3 or even worse, a 2-5 combination, you should take some precautions.

Moreover, the presence of this evil #5 Star will be reinforced during:

The analysis then becomes more complex (but also more powerful) if we take into account others data:
